Guided tours at the cathedral will be greatly reduced
Cathedral Treasury temporarily closed during the week
It’s not just Aachen’s city center that’s exceptionally empty. Since the beginning of the year, very few visitors have also found their way to the cathedral and the cathedral treasury. For this reason, the cathedral chapter is reducing the public cathedral tours to two per day (German and English) at 2 p.m. each Monday through Thursday until further notice. The Cathedral Treasury will initially remain closed on the four days mentioned until and including Thursday, March 3.
Since the weekends are much better attended, the existing offers continue to apply: Guided tours will take place on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the hour, and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. The Cathedral Treasury can be visited from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
